Are you visiting the Côte D’Azur?

A French Riviera charter is built around its beach clubs. Lunch at Club 55, drinks at Anjuna, dinner under the pines at La Réserve de la Mala; that's the spine of a good week. Whether you are looking to dance the night away or simply relax and sunbathe in style, enjoying seafood platters and constant cocktails, you will not be short for options of the best beach clubs to visit during your French Riviera yacht charter.

This is our broker shortlist. Here we present six clubs worth the tender ride, from Pampelonne in the west to Cap d'Ail in the east. Three are loud, three are quiet, and your broker's job is to know which ones suit which day.

Nice

Hotel Amour Plage

On the Promenade des Anglais, you will find Hotel Amour Plage. A fantastic beach club option if you are visiting Nice during your trip. Expect Mediterranean cuisine and specialities, fresh juices, organic wines and cocktails. The list could go on...

The service here is incredible, with servers wandering the beach ready to take your order. Admire the Mediterranean Sea under your parasol before enjoying a live music event at the end of the day.

We loved the Hotel Amour experience and could not miss it from our list of must visit beach clubs.

Cannes

La Guerite

Nestled under the walls of the Fort Royal on the Île Sainte-Marguerite, La Guerite places relaxation and tranquility at the forefront.

Run by Greek chef Yiannis Kioroglou for over a decade, the menu is Greek-Mediterranean; we suggest the lamb.

The whitewashed terrace, the lavender, and the boats moored 50m offshore in clear water make this the closest the Riviera comes to a Greek island lunch.

Arrive by yacht: your captain will anchor in the channel between Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. A tender service runs directly from yachts at anchor. Book a week ahead for a Saturday in season.

Saint Tropez

Club 55

The Original: a playground for the rich and famous since its created in 1955.

Founded in 1955 as a beach canteen for Brigitte Bardot's film crew on Et Dieu créa la femme, and run by the Patrice de Colmont family ever since. Club 55 is located on the beautiful, sandy Pampelonne Beach, and is home to a casual al fresco restaurant offering classic French dishes and seafood. Think wooden tables, straw hats, and rosé in carafes.

Despite being open 7 days a week between the end of March to the start of November, we highly recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Arrive by yacht. Tender to the wooden pier directly off the restaurant — your captain anchors in 10–15m of sandy holding off Pampelonne. Book a fortnight ahead in August. Lunch only.

Saint Tropez

Tahiti Beach

A hidden gem along the Côte D’Azur... ideal for afternoons spent on a daybed, a longer lunch, and a pool.

This is the right call if your group includes people who want to spend the afternoon on a sun lounger rather than at a table.

Daybeds are €100+ per person in season and book out from May onwards.

Arrive by yacht: Same Pampelonne anchorage as Club 55; the tender lands on the beach directly in front of the club. Useful pairing: try lunch at one, drinks at the other.

Èze

Anjuna Beach

An understated classic on the Plage d'Èze. The east coast equivalent of La Guérite, this is where we send clients when Club 55 sounds like too much work.

Classy, relaxed and discreet, Anjuna Beach is a harmonious breath of fresh air in a noisy and crowded field of more showy beach clubs. Chef Patrick Degioanni has run the pass here since 2005, and the menu reads exactly as you'd hope: Mediterranean, ingredient-led, no over-blown theatrics.

You won't find any show-offs here, just good food, good vibes and a superb selection of wines.

Arrive by yacht. Anchor in the bay of Èze. The tender ride to the beach is short and straightforward. Your crew will know exactly where to drop you. Book lunch in advance in July and August; the regulars hold the best tables.

Cap d'Ail

La Réserve de la Mala

Chef Jean-Marc Troussard runs an Italian-Mediterranean kitchen at the western end of the cove; the daybeds are €65 per person in the front row, slightly less further back.

This is the right pick if you want a long, slow lunch with a swim between courses and the option of staying for the sunset DJ set on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The chef's reputation locally is what brings the regulars back. The food is the reason this isn't just a setting.

Arrive by yacht: Anchor in Mala bay. Tender service from yachts at anchor is straightforward. The 18:00 weekend beach parties are worth timing the day around if your itinerary has Monaco the following morning.

How to plan them all in

If your week runs west-to-east, the natural sequence is: Saint-Tropez (Club 55 or Tahiti) for the loud lunch, then Cannes (La Guérite) for the day on the islands, then a quiet anchorage night, then Èze (Anjuna) for the relaxed dinner, then Cap d'Ail (Eden or La Réserve) before the run into Monaco.

The clubs are the spine of the itinerary. Your broker builds the rest around them — which bays to anchor in between, where to swim, where to eat the nights you're not at a club. Tell us your dates and your crew, and we'll come back with a week mapped out.
